If you haven't heard: As of this month, our normal site at Meetup.com hads just started charging a fee to use their services.  I know that money is hard, especially with children and budgeting another expense into the month is almost impossible.  I don't believe we should have to pay to get together.  But I do completely believe that we can make our group strong enough to stand on its own and can continue to grow by word of mouth, without the help of their site. I will by the end of this month, make fliers and cards to hand out at local grocery stores and mommy hangouts, in town to promote our group and hopefully add to our number.

I wanted to start by welcoming you to our group. This group is for all mom's in Lawrence and surrounding cities. I believe that you shouldn't have to ever go to the park, McDonald's, Chucky Cheese, or anywhere concerning/including children by yourself ever again. There is always another mom out there that's dying to get out of the house. My goal is to start a strong mommy support group. Whether that means someone to vent on the phone with, walk with, ask a silly question, whatever. Most of our events will be held in Lawrence.
